Fran Donovan studied Fine Art Diploma at Southampton and Winchester School of Art BA (Hons) culminating in a Masters degree in Barcelona.
She has produced work in a variety of media and has exhibited widely including at the Universitat de Barcelona; Tallers Obert, Barcelona; Delfina Studio Gallery, London; Fresh Art - Business Design Centre, London; WCA Gallery, Winchester; The White Gallery, Brighton; Lewes Contemporary Art, Lewes; Harbour Lights, Southampton; ArtSway Open, Sway; Charleston House Gallery, Firle, Nr Lewes; Maltby Contemporary Art, Winchester; Beatrice Royal Gallery, Eastleigh; Russell Cotes Gallery, Bournmouth; The Link Gallery, University College, Winchester; Gallery One, Barnes; Affordable Art Fair, London; Town Mill Gallery, Lyme Regis; Brighton Art Fair, Brighton; Sherborne House Open Exhibition, Dorset;
Whilst working in Brighton she was interviewed and filmed for video by BBC South Resources which was followed by a Radio Arts interview.
Her work is in private collections in Britain, Spain, Italy, America and Australia and the Public collections of Hampshire County Council and Salisbury District Hospital
